Desperate Housewives: Kissed Goodbye! Series Finale Thoughts . . .

Posted by Dustin on 05.14.2012 at 1:39 pm

So last night was the big finale of “Desperate Housewives.” Pretty much everything was neatly tied up. There of course were some dangling story lines. I think at the top of my list is Carlos and Gabby’s biological daughter. I guess she’s just permanently on the run somewhere with her parents.

Things looked pretty bad for Bree as the evidence against her was stacking up. Gabby was ready to sacrifice herself for Bree and Carlos, but Carlos nor Bree wouldn’t let her. However before both could stop her, Karen sacrificed herself. As she lay in her hospice bed all the girls took shifts with her. She overheard Gabby and Carlos arguing about what happened. She explained to the court that she knew that Ramon/Alejandro had molested Gabby as a child, and he was attacking her again that night . . . so she killed him with a candlestick. BEcause of her age and advanced disease, no charges were pressed against her.

鼎宝福彩Tom and Lynette made their way back to one another and agreed to try and work things out. Then Katherine Mayfair came back into town with a job opportunity for Lynette. Katherine had created a frozen food company in France which was booming, now she wanted to bring it to America. She wanted Lynette to head it up, in New York. However she said she was back with Tom and she just couldn’t do that, they just couldn’t move. Tom was of course beaming . . . Tom who has no job at the moment. When he later found out she was talking to Katherine about the job, he of course flipped. He thought she was once again putting her first and blah blah blah . . . I just tuned him out. Seriously, this is the guy who left her and a week later took up with a woman and then another week later they had moved in together. Stop talking Tom, just stop! Seriously, why couldn’t they have killed Tom instead of Mike?

Renee’s wedding was approaching and hit all sorts of snafus. The day of the wedding, Julie’s water broke . . . all over Renee’s dress. Susan and Julie headed to the hospital as Gabby scrambled to get Renee a new dress from her store. Shenanigans ensued of course. But the wedding went off. At the wedding Lynette made a loving toast about not forgetting what is important in a marriage. Her toast, and Julie’s baby, brought her and Tom back together. Meanwhile while the wedding went on, and the guests danced on, Karen sadly passed on.

The show ended with the girls playing poker as Susan was preparing to move away. She’s going to live with Julie and the baby to help her out, so that Julie can finish school. We never heard what became of Porter’s part in the kid’s life, I guess that’s up to our imagination. Susan and the girls promised they’d still get together every now and then and that they’d still play poker . . . but then Mary Alice’s narration told us that would never be.

Tom and Lynette move to New York, where she becomes the CEO of Katherine’s company. They grow old, and have 6 grand kids.

鼎宝福彩Carlos and Gabby also moved away. Carlos helped Gabby start her own personal shopping business. She later got a show on the home shopping network. They live in California.

Bree married her lawyer Tripp. They moved to Kentucky, where Bree ran for city council and became involved in conservative politics.

The show ended however showing the first woman to leave the lane, Susan. She said hello to the new owner of her house, who was hoping the suburbs wouldn’t be boring. As Susan drove off we saw all the ghosts of the past watching her. Mike, Karen and her son, Rex, The crazy pharmacist, Martha Huber, Alfre Woodard’s character, and eventually the final ghost was Mary Alice. There were a lot more ghosts watching her leave, some I assume were dead people we never knew. Others I remembered their faces, I just couldn’t pin point their stories.

The show ended with a shot of the woman who moved into Susan’s house locking some fancy box up in a cabinet as Mary Alice told us the world would always be filled with desperate people who never think their secrets will come out.

I really liked the end of the show. I hope some fan site out there posts a guide to all the ghosts. Oh and no . . . Eddie Britt was NOT one of them!

Desperate Housewives: Heading Into The Finale . . .

Desperate Housewives: Heading Into The Finale . . .

Posted by Dustin on 05.02.2012 at 8:23 pm

鼎宝福彩So after a few weeks of no shows, “Desperate Housewives” returned this Sunday (these breaks are getting ridiculous). There really are only a few shows left. It’s sad because I feel like the show is finally getting good again. Well except for the fact that Mike is still dead! I really despise that they did this. Why couldn’t they have given Susan and Mike a happy ending? How many weeks to we have to watch Susan and MJ being unhappy and depressed? Well, not too many more really. But how are we to get any kind of a happy ending here? Will Susan suddenly learn she’s pregnant?

鼎宝福彩Bree did what Bree did best this week, she fell for her lawyer. Bree always seems to be attracted to opposites, and he’s as opposite of Bree as one can get. I do hope this relationship will work out for Bree. All the girls deserve their happy ever after.

Lynette has been flirting with Tom’s Boss, and old work acquaintance of hers who always had a thing for her, and thinks Tom is a fool for dropping her. He is bending over backwards to make her happy by punishing Tom and Jane by making Tom work late, which makes Jane very very angry! However he went a little overboard and is planning to send Tom to India for a year! Yeah, not cool, at all. I was enjoying Lynette versus Jane, but this story is a bit too nutty right now. I’m sure Lynette also doesn’t want Tom gone for a year. Even if they don’t get back together, she needs help with the kids. We did learn that Tom still hasn’t signed the divorce papers, so I guess that means there is still hope for them.

鼎宝福彩Finally Carlos and Gabby were at odds over a client of Gabby’s who recently came into a lot of money. Carlos poached Gabby’s client and convinced her not to spend her money on clothes, but to donate it to the charity he worked with. Basically the war over their client made her run away, as she thought they were both nuts. In the end Gabby told Carlos he tried to steal her client because he’s a shark, that’s what he does and why she loves him. He wanted to change, but she said he was a shark, he can’t change that. I have a feeling this little talk is going to lead Carlos to confessing and saving Bree. His desire to be a better man will drive him to do the most heroic thing he can (though that is debatable, since letting Bree take the fall for everyone else is really cowardly).

鼎宝福彩Oh . . . and I still want Mike back!

鼎宝福彩Both “Once Upon A Time” and “Grey’s Anatomy” are said to having shocking deaths in their season finales. In the case of “Grey’s” it’s not only a major character, but a permanent death. I’m going to guess it will be Adele.

On “Private Practice” Amelia goes into labor on the season finale, while Addison must once again make a difficult choice.

ABC Late April Spoilers + Casting News!

ABC Late April Spoilers + Casting News!

Posted by Dustin on 04.10.2012 at 7:00 pm

So a good number of spoilers for some ABC shows coming up, but first a few other tid bits.

Dana Delany’s “Body of Proof” ends it’s second season tonight. No news yet on a season three, but I’m crossing my fingers as it doesn’t look like we’ll be getting any answers about Megan’s dad in the finale. Who knows, I could be wrong though. Delany won’t be off the TV for long though. has revealed she will return to Wisteria Lane for the season finale of “Desperate Housewives,” reviving her character of Katherine Mayfair.

I still haven’t seen ABC’s new show “Scandal” yet. So many shows finally began returning this week, so I haven’t fit it in yet. So I’m waiting to see it before I decide if I should add it into the site.

ABC’s new comedy “Don’t Trust The B In Apartment 23” also begins airing this week (tomorrow actually). The first two episodes have been online for viewing, and I have the say the show is very funny. Tune in if you have time.

Now as for the spoilers in this batch . . . .

On “Private Practice,” Pete and Violet enter counseling . . . and Addison has a new man in her life?
On “Revenge,” Emily learns who murdered her father.
On “Grey’s Anatomy,” Debbie Allen returns as Catherine Avery, while the residents take their boards.
On “Once Upon A Time,” Pinnocchio’s back story is revealed in fairytale land. Who is he in our world though? (Many think Augustus is Pinocchio, some have suggested it’s Dr. Whale at the hospital.) Oh and Regina sets her sites on David?
On “GCB,” it’s a “True Blood” reunion via this week’stars! Oh and the girls have a cook-off.
鼎宝福彩 On “Desperate Housewives,” Renee learns Ben has been lying to her about “the body!”

Desperate Housewives: Bree’s In Trouble Now!

Desperate Housewives: Bree’s In Trouble Now!

鼎宝福彩 Posted by Dustin on 04.03.2012 at 8:09 pm

Well I felt this episode of “Housewives” was definitely much better than the last few. I’m glad the cops finally discussed how they had no motive for Bree, and no connection between her and the dead guy. However Vance’s old partner seems determined to pin this on Bree, and she’s determined to take the blame for her friends . . . hoping it will all be dropped when it comes out there is no case to be made. However when the one cop tampered with evidence, it looked bad for Bree. The cop blatantly wrote Bree’s address on a map found in Alejandro/Ramon’s belongings. Really? Because his hand writing isn’t already all over the case notes, and nobody will notice they are the same? At this point, with so few episodes left, I can’t figure out how this will all be resolved.

Susan learned Mike had an autistic sister that his mom hid away a long time ago and who he just recently learned about. He was keeping it from Susan, as his mother begged him to as she was ashamed of her mistake. However he had been secretly supporting her in a group home with checks every month. This lead Julie to break down and tell Susan she’s no better than Mike’s mom, she wants to give this baby up because it’s an inconvenience. She decided to keep the baby instead, which of course pleased Susan. Maybe we’ll see a wedding for Julie in the finale?

鼎宝福彩Why has nobody addressed the Zach issue? Mike was his dad too! Wait . . . I can’t remember where Zach is anymore. Last we saw him he had shot Paul.

鼎宝福彩Carlos’ machismo got the best of him, as Gabby earning money began to annoy him. He didn’t like that she had become the breadwinner, whereas she enjoyed being able to treat him to a nice night out and support their family for the first time ever. Given the Lynette and Tom situation, I can’t see them breaking up another marriage on the show.

And speaking of Tom and Lynette . . . Tom’s girlfriend is a piece of work! Tom had apparently been sitting on signed divorce papers for awhile now. It seems clear that he was either hesitant to serve them to Lynette. Was he rethinking things, or was he waiting for the proper moment. I’m going with the former. Well this annoyed Jane to no end, and she decided to just deliver the papers to Lynette. Of course she did this on Tom’s birthday, right as Lynette was baking him a green velvet cake (don’t ask!). This lead to a great fight, with Lynette splattering Jane and her nice white suit with green cake batter. She then confronted Tom, who seemed to be at a loss for words over the papers. When he couldn’t tell Lynette one way or another what he wanted, she signed the papers and gave them to him. Tom later laid into Jane, saying she had no right, this wasn’t her place. Go Tom! It’s about time he remembered where he put his balls. The question now is, will Tom file the papers? Given how Tom has been acting, I don’t know if I want him and Lynette back together. The only reason I do if for some kind of a happy ending to the finale. However if they don’t end up together, I definitely want Jane gone. She cannot win!

Desperate Housewives: Missing Mike!

Desperate Housewives: Missing Mike!

Posted by Dustin on 03.27.2012 at 7:41 pm

So there are only a few episodes of “Desperate Housewives” left. I never thought I’d actually be glad about that, but oddly I am. The show without Mike, just isn’t the show. Even if he wasn’t on as much as others, just knowing he was cruelly gunned down depresses me.

鼎宝福彩Then there is this Tom and Lynette storyline. Just end it already! I can’t decide if I want them back together, which is clearly what Lynette wants. I just have come to loath what Tom has become at this point. Really Lynette? Are you sure he’ll make you happy?

I loved Gabby going out to get a job, and landing one at a store as a personal shopper. What a perfect job for her. Then again, I think she’ll just spend all the money she brings in. Hmmmm, maybe it’s not the best job for her.

Andrew’s return with his surprise female fiancé was also great. Bree had the best line of the night with “You’re here, you’re queer, I’m used to it!”

鼎宝福彩One thing I’m having issues with is Bree suddenly becoming the main suspect in Alejandro’s murder. I know it’s because Orson tipped the cops off . . . but has anyone stopped to ask how Bree would know this guy, and why she’d want him dead? It seems like they’ve all but left out any talk of motive for her. I’m also shocked nobody on the force has connected him to Gabriel yet (unless I’ve missed something).

Desperate Housewives: Saying Goodbye . . .

Desperate Housewives: Saying Goodbye . . .

鼎宝福彩 Posted by Dustin on 03.21.2012 at 1:57 pm

This Sunday’s “Desperate Housewives” was all about saying goodbye to Mike Delfino. Many of the wives thought about their pasts, and how Mike impacted their lives in some way.

Carlos ended up quitting his job, because he was so unhappy. Lynette decided to finally fight for her marriage, hoping it wasn’t too late. Bree meanwhile got herself into trouble after Orson mailed evidence to the cops, she’s no a prime suspect in Alejandro’s murder. They managed to dig up his body, and match Bree’s prints to him . . . .

鼎宝福彩Dun dun dun dun!

I really doubt Bree will go to jail. There will be some little twist that gets the crime pinned on someone else I’m sure. They’ll probably learn that he had a hit out on him from some other family he ruined. That or Gabby will come forward with the truth.

鼎宝福彩I definitely can’t imagine these final few episodes without Mike. It makes me think Tom and Lynette might not get any happy ending either.
